Vermont MDAPP For Mental Health Therapists

The Vermont Medicaid Data Aggregation & Access Program (MDAAP) is a state initiative designed to improve healthcare information technology among Medicaid providers, specifically in mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and long-term care. Launched to assist providers previously ineligible for federal EHR incentives, MDAAP offers financial support, access to clinical data, and comprehensive assistance for implementing electronic health record (EHR) systems. For mental health therapists, MDAAP provides an opportunity to modernize practice management, enhance patient care, and streamline documentation. By connecting providers to the Vermont Health Information Exchange (VHIE), therapists gain access to valuable clinical data for improved treatment planning and care coordination. The program also ensures compliance with data security regulations, empowering therapists to offer a higher standard of care and achieve better client outcomes.Ā
